Youth Organizations Currently Serving:
Howard County Youth Program, Atholton Youth Recreation Association, Elkridge Youth Organization, Western
Howard County, Howard County Parks and Recreation, the Central Maryland travel League, Baltimore Metro Baseball,
and the East Coast Tournament Baseball are just a few of the organizations we are currently umpiring.
Background: Tri-County Umpires Association has been active in Howard, Prince George's, Montgomery,
Charles, Baltimore, Carroll and Anne Arundel counties of Maryland since 1993. We have grown to over 70 active
umpires since our creation.
Who we are: All our umpires are over 16, have successfully completed a six-week course of instruction
on rules, mechanics, and game management. All of our umpires are exam-certified, and fully insured.
How can I join?: We are always looking for a "few good men" who enjoy baseball, working with young adults,
and making some serious part-time money. Simply contact Mike Amaral. The
course fee is $30, and includes a rule book and all course materials. Classes are held in Howard County, or can be
completed ON-LINE!!
